Accident statistics repeatedly show how dangerous improper use of aerial work platforms can be – often with tragic, even fatal consequences. To avoid such accidents, DGUV 308-008 clearly stipulates this: Every operator of lifting platforms must pass a theoretical and practical test in order to obtain the lifting platform license.
