Qualified person for the inspection of cranes

What is required:

In accordance with Section 2 (7) BetrSichV, qualified persons must be authorized to carry out the tasks specified in sentence 1.
examinations, have the necessary specialist knowledge. These are acquired
through:

1. vocational training
2. with professional experience
3. and a prompt professional activity

What you need to do for cranes and what test criteria are there:

1. Technical documentation Inspection book: Check for completeness (master sheet, supplementary sheets) and
   conformity with the crane system.
   Declaration of conformity: Check presence and validity.
   Operating instructions: Correctness and completeness of the operating, assembly and
   dismantling instructions.
   Load capacity tables/diagrams: Check existence and correctness.
   Control plans: Electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic plans must be available

   Crane runway statics: Check and compare load assumptions.
   Additional information: For example on subframes, check conformity with the
   actual design.

2. Identification of the crane: Check using the inspection logbook.
   Markings: Ensure completeness and legibility of markings and
   signage. Must be permanently attached to each crane and easily recognizable
   for the crane operator
3. Crane equipment: Check the equipment in accordance with DGUV regulations 52 and 53.
   § 10 Work stands and working platforms
   § 11 Safety distances
   § 13 Rail scrapers
   § 21 Assembly instructions
   § 24 Emergency stop devices
   Access points: Check crane access ladders, control stands, platforms and
   walkways that are not attached to the crane. (more detailed information later)
   Crane runways and runway boundaries: Check for safety and
   compliance with standards.
   Working and traffic areas: Maintain safety distances
4. Supporting structure
   Crane runway: Check for stability and safety.
   Crane foundations and track systems: Check load-bearing capacity and
   stability.
5. Suitability of the crane
   Area of use: Check whether the crane is suitable for the use intended by the operator
   .
6. Safety equipment
   Safety: Check for completeness, suitability and effectiveness of the
   safety equipment.
7. Function test without load
   Entire crane: Check all functions without load.
8. Functional tests with load
   Static and dynamic tests: Performance in accordance with section 4.1.2.3 Strength of Annex I
   of the Machinery Directive and manufacturer’s specifications
9. Overload protection and load torque limiter
   Setting: Check the correct setting of the overload protection or
   Load torque limiter
